TORM is presently looking for a commercial operator to join our dynamic operations team at our office in Copenhagen. In cooperation with 17 colleagues across Singapore, Copenhagen and Houston, you will be responsible for the operation of approximately 80 tanker vessels in all our segments: Handy, MR, LR1 and LR2.

The Job
As an Operator your key responsibilities will be to execute daily operations with due consideration to customer focus, voyage optimization and stakeholder management.

Furthermore, your tasks will be to:
- Have quick and correct attention to queries
- Provide innovative feedback on how to constantly improve the business
- Participate in various operational projects
- Visit vessels and customers in agreement with your manager

Throughout our business, we do things safely and in general adhere to procedures, rules and regulations, industry-wise and not least in strict compliance with any governmental or other official requirements.

In addition to a relevant shipping education, it is an advantage that you have some operational tanker experience for example from a tanker owner, agent or broker.
You are fluent both in written and verbal English, including complete maritime vocabularies, as well as you have excellent IT skills.

As a person, you are energetic, proactive and thrive in a fast-paced environment where daily work routines constantly are challenged by the changing tasks as shipping is known for.

Furthermore, we expect that you are:
- Able to work flexible hours when work calls for it
- A true team player – always think team before individual
- Engaged in dialogues and discussions internally as well as externally to continuously improve performance
- Only finding it natural to follow procedures and update systems timely and always correct
- Motivated when being empowered to make decisions
- Looking forward to travel when needed (3-4 times a year)
- Ready to participate in the 24/7 mobile duty divided among the employees
Profiles with different levels of experience, will be taken into consideration.
