Maersk Line dropper Oslo Havn i 2015

Verdens største containertransportør Maersk Line har besluttet at omdirigere alle anløb af Oslo Havn til havnen i Drammen på grund af forstyrrelser og forsinkelser for fragt til og fra landets hovedstad. Maersk Line begyndte allerede i februar at anløbe havnen i Drammen.

”Maersks tilstedeværelse i Drammen er meget positivt for os. Vi ønsker flere vil se fordelen ved en intermodal havn. Med to mobile havnekraner har vi øget effektiviteten af containeroperationerne og er bedre rustet til at håndtere Maersks volumener”, siger Drammens havnedirektør Einar Olsen.

Årsagerne til ændringen er, at havnen i Oslo oplever yderligere pres som følge af fusionen af to terminaler, der forårsager et fald i produktiviteten. Rederiet ser Drammen som en særlig god erstatning, da havnen kun ligger 30 minutters kørsel fra Oslo. Desuden kan containere læsses direkte på op til 450 meter lange godstog.

Maersk Line forventer, at den nye rute vil være i drift i hele 2015. Ændringen med helt at undlade anløb af Oslo Havn trådte i kraft allerede fra den 1. april.
