This course is suitable for anyone involved in the transportation of dangerous goods by sea. It includes information on the legal responsibilities for transportation of dangerous goods or hazardous materials via sea and the special considerations that need to be taken.

The aim of this course is to inform you about benzene and where you may be exposed to it, what might happen if you are exposed, and the precautions you can take to stay safe. This course follows OSHA's Benzene Standard (29 CFR 1910.1028).

The aim of the Passenger Safety, Cargo Safety and Hull Integrity section of this course is to provide the mandatory level of knowledge required for all Masters, Chief Engineer Officers, Chief Mates, Second Engineer Officers and persons assigned immediate responsibility for embarking and disembarking passengers, for loading, discharging, or securing cargo, or for closing hull openings on board RO-RO passenger ships.

The aim of this course is to provide an awareness of how, and why, a wide variety of hand related injuries can occur in the workplace. You will also learn how to treat specific injuries, along with practical advice on how to prevent them from occurring in the first place by following OSHA guidelines.
