Svenskerne kommer hurtigere til Shanghai

APM Terminals i Göteborg har introduceret et nyt koncept, der skal forkorte en containers rejse fra Sverige til Kina med en uge. Under navnet “The Gothenburg Gateway” lancerede APM Terminals konceptet i den forgangne uge.

Det nye koncept indebærer, at det maksimalt skal tage 24 timer for en container at nå Göteborg-terminalen med godstog fra et hvilket som helst sted i Sverige og maksimalt 48 timer i alt, inden containeren er placeret på et oceangående containerskib, oplyser APM Terminals i Göteborg.

Den hurtigere behandling af containere er opnået gennem effektiviseringer og øget brug af digitale løsninger.

I denne uge vil det første godstog afgå fra APM Terminals egen terminal i Gävle ca. 175 km. Nord for Stockhom med containere, der har Shanghai som destination. 90 pct. Af alt gods til og fra Sverige transporteres i dag via havne. APM Terminals markedsandel er 41 pct.
