Bunker Holding indgår milliard-aftale

Et af verdens største bunkerselskaber, danske Bunker Holding, har indgået en ny aftale med en gruppe banker, der giver selskabet en kreditfacilitet på 1 mia. dollar forud for de kommende svovlkrav i 2020.

Der treårige aftale er indgået med et syndikat af 12 globale og regionale banker og vurderes af Bunker Holding til at være en af de største bankaftaler,

der er indgået i industrien. Aftalen kan udvides op til 2,5 mia. dollar og forlænges i op til fem år.

Den svovlfattige olie, der fra januar 2020 bliver et krav i alle skibe uden scrubbere, forventes at blive langt dyrere end den nuværende type og det kræver - sammen med Bunker Holdings ønske om yderligere vækst -

en øget finansiel fleksibilitet, påpeger Bunker Holding i en pressemeddelelse.

“Med denne kreditfacilitet er vi rigtig godt forberedt og positioneret til fremtiden,” udtaler Michael Krabbe, CFO i Bunker Holding.

Den nye bankaftale er arrangeret af Deutsche Bank og Nordea Danmark.
