Bladt Industries lander ny ordre til USA

Bladt Industries har netop tegnet kontrakt med Vineyard Wind om levering af en offshore transformerstation til den første fuldskala offshore vindmøllepark i USA. Bag Vineyard Wind står Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners og Avangrid Renewables.

Aftalen kan blive et springbræt for Bladt Industries, da det amerikanske havvindmøllemarked er et prioriteret marked med et enormt potentiale, og vi ser denne kontrakt som en forudsætning for vores videre udvikling på det amerikanske marked”, siger Klaus Steen Mortensen, CEO, Bladt Industries.

Vineyard Offshore Wind Farm på 800 MW vil blive placeret godt 20 km syd for Marthas Vineyard og godt 55 km ud for den amerikanske østkyst ved Massachusetts. Efter idriftsættelse vil parken levere grøn energi til mere end 400.000 amerikanske boliger.

Kontrakten er en EPC-kontrakt, der omfatter engineering, indkøb og opførelse af en 3.000 tons offshore transformerstation og et 1.500 tons jacket fundament. Bladt Industries vil gennemføre projektet i tæt samarbejde med Semco Maritime og ISC Engineering. Designet er allerede i gang ved ISC Engineering, og det elektriske system udføres af Semco Maritime.

Det er en vigtig del af vores strategi for en øget tilstedeværelse på det amerikanske havvindmøllemarked”, siger Nils Overgaard, Chief Sales Officer på Bladt Industries.
