Kinesisk værfts-gigant vinder ordre på 13

Den kinesiske værftsgruppe China State Shipbuilding Corporation, CSSC, har fundet sin hidtil største enkeltkontrakt, der omfatter bygningen af 13 containerskibe forberedt til LNG-drift på 16.000 teu. Ordren har en værdi på 1,52 mia. dollar - knap 10 mia. kr. Kilder i markedet har et godt bud på ordregiveren.

Bygningen af de 13 skibe bliver delt mellem CSSC-værfterne Dalian Shipbuilding og Guangzhou Shipyard International og skibene vil blive udstyret med hovedmotorer fra WinGD, der bygges under licens i Kina.

Hvem der har bestilt de mange skibe, er ikke offentliggjort, men kilder i markedet peger på MSC, som dog ikke har kommenteret på rygtet.

Det italiensk ejede rederi med dansk topchef er i gang med en omfattende udvidelse af sin flåde, der kan bringe det op som verdens største foran Maersk.
