Novo investerer 17 mia. kr. i Kalundborg

Den danske medicinalfabrik Novo Nordisk investerer 17 milliarder kroner i at opføre tre nye produktionsanlæg i Kalundborg, og udvidelse af et eksisterende anlæg. Investeringen vil skaffe 400 nye arbejdspladser i byen og øget aktivitet på havnen.

Novo har allerede 3.200 medarbejdere i Kalundborg.

De nye anlæg vil primært være fremstillingsanlæg, men også anlæg til samling og emballering. Der er tale om højt automatiserede anlæg baseret på den nyeste produktionsteknologi, hedder det i en meddelelse fra Novo mandag morgen.

”Investeringen understreger vores fortsatte engagement i Danmark, hvor Kalundborg er centrum i vores globale produktionsopsætning", siger Henrik Wulff, EVP, Product Supply, Quality & IT, Novo Nordisk.

Opførelsen af produktionsanlæggene ventes afsluttet i 2027, og skabe 2.500 arbejdspladser i byggefasen.
