To omkommet om bord på Norden tankskib

To lokale underleverandører mistede natten til lørdag livet, under inspektion af en tom tank om bord på det danske tankskib Nord Magic ud for Chittagong. De to indiske mænd blev hurtigt bragt til hospitalet, men deres liv stod ikke til at redde.

Dødsårsagen er ikke offentliggjort, men ifølge lokale kilder er iltmangel formentlig årsagen.

Nord Magic ankom til Chittagong i ballast onsdag, efter at have leveret en last sojaolie. De to mænd var i gang med at undersøge en af de tanke, hvor sojaolien havde været opbevaret.

Nord Magic er bygget i 2009 og hjemmehørende i Hellerup. Skibet har en 25 mand stor besætning, der primært kommer fra Indien. Kaptajnen er dansk.
