Kinas fiskeriflåde vokser markant

Efter at have støvsuget de hjemlige farvande for fisk, har Kina nu opbygget verdens største fiskeriflåde, der jagter fisk over hele kloden. Højsø-flåden tæller nu mere end 3.000 fiskefartøjer, og antallet vokser fortsat. Det skriver New York Times.

De gigantiske kinesiske fangster kan især mærkes i Det Indiske Ocean, Det sydlige Stillehav, og ud fra Afrika og Sydamerikas kyster.

Ud over overfiskning i internationalt farvand, er der også mange rapporter om illegalt fiskeri indenfor andre landes økonomiske zoner – bl.a ud for Somalia og i filippinsk farvand.
