11 anholdt for ulovlig handel med brændstof

Singapores politi har anholdt 11 søfolk mistænkt for ulovlig handel med skibsbrændstof. De anholdte på mellem 31 og 52 år er besætninger på en lokal og en udenlandsk slæbebåd, oplyser politiet.

Arrestationerne fandt sted i sidste uge, hvor besætningen på det lokale fartøj beskyldes for uretmæssigt at have solgt skibsbrændstof til den udenlandske slæbebåd, der samtidig blev beslaglagt.

“Politiets kystvagt enhed og havnemyndigheden ser alvorligt på illegale transaktioner med skibsbrændstof i Singapores farvand og myndighederne vil fortsat gennemføre sikkerhedstjek for at forhindre, afskrække og opdage sådanne ulovlige aktiviteter i Singapore farvande,” hedder det i en udtalelse fra politiet.
