Maersk skib fik maskinstop i Gibraltarstrædet

Containerskibet Maersk Batur blev ramt af maskinproblemener onsdag kort tid efter det havde forladt havnen i Algeciras på vej til Newark, USA. Skibet var undervejs i Gibraltarstrædet, da motorerne satte ud og skibet begyndte at drive, rapporterer Maritime Bulletin.

Kaptajnen bad om assistance fra en slæbebåd og det 3.194 teu store containerskib er nu på vej retur til Algeciras, fulgt af SAR-fartøjet Mastelero.
