Unifeeder med på den grønne bølge

Unifeeder har indgået en aftale med Svitzers Ecotow-tjeneste i London om, at de godt 100 assistancer rederiet har brug for i London om året, skal håndteres af de 10 CO2-neutrale bugserbåde som Svitzer Ecotow råder over op Themsen.

"Dette er et godt eksempel på, hvad der kan opnås ved hjælp af ny brændstofteknologi, og vi er stolte af at implementere denne innovative service for at reducere CO2-emissioner”, siger Michael Bonde, Chief Operations Officer for Network & Operations hos Unifeeder.

Ecotow-tjenesten bruger udelukkende bæredygtigt anden generations biobrændstoffer, som er brændstoffer fremstillet af affaldsmateriale såsom brugt madolie og er certificeret af ISSC eller RSB.

I forhold til marinediesel reducerer disse biobrændstoffer CO2-emissionerne med 100 procent på tank-to-wake basis og cirka 90 procent på well-to-tank basis.
