Større kornskibe på vej til Ukraine

KORT NYT: Indtil nu har det kun været tørlastskibe med en mindre kapacitet, der har sejlet korn ud af Ukraine. Men nu er større skibe på vej. Tirsdag forlod den 75.656 DWT store bulkcarrier Ocean Lion havnen i Chornomors fuldt lastet med korn.

Aftalen mellem Ukraine og Rusland om frit lejde for kornskibe løber i 120 dage, og skal det lykkes at transportere de 20 millioner tons korn Ukraine har på lager i det tidsrum, skal der større skibe til.

Det første skib der forlod Ukraine lastet med korn ligger lige nu i en tyrkisk havn og venter på en ny køber til lasten, da den oprindelige køber sprang fra.
