Stadige flere varer hober sig op i havnene

Den høje inflation bekymrer forbrugerne og får dem til at skrue ned for efterspørgslen. Resultatet er bugnende hylder i butikkerne og fyldte lagre. På havnen viser udviklingen sig ved ophobning af uafhentede containere. Det skriver Børsen.

“Containerne bliver ikke tømt, fordi der heller ikke er plads i varelagrene. Det hænger i sidste ende sammen med en ændret forbrugeradfærd, og det er også det, vi ser i logistikkæden nu”, siger Dennis Olesen, CEO i APM Terminals Aarhus, til Børsen.

Ifølge Børsen står en container i øjeblikket i gennemsnit 5,5 dage på containerterminalen i Aarhus inden den bliver afhentet af ejeren, mod tidligere i gennemsnit 4,5 dage. Det lyder måske ikke af meget, men procentuelt er der tale om en stor forskel, og er årsag til, at containerne hober sig op i havnen og hæmmer driften.
