China welcomes IRON Pump’s new assembly plant

Since 2009, IRON Pump has had an office in China with sales of new offshore and maritime pumps in Asia, as well as spare parts across the world. With our latest initiatives, our competitiveness will be considerably improved in the world market. It will also strengthen our Danish production of high-quality pumps.

In the autumn of 2024, we plan to begin assembling selected pump models with parts from our factory in Denmark, at the new plant in China. In the long term, IRON Pump intends to assemble pumps at the plant, with parts produced in China. A close collaboration with the factory in Denmark will ensure the high quality that IRON Pump represents.

"As China is a significant market for us, there are tangible advantages to establishing ourselves in the country," says IRON Pump CEO Anders Frimodt-Møller, adding "Production in China does not mean a reduction of the workforce in Denmark, but gives us the opportunity to develop new markets, and thus future-proof the Danish production, in parallel with production in China."

Production in China will move IRON Pump closer to customers and the Asian market, providing advantages in product transport, shorter delivery times and the reduced environmental impact of transport.
