Service to Norway stopped after six trips
SHIPPING: Bad timing - this is how short the reason, why the new ro/ro ferry service between Fredericia and Moss has closed down after nothing more than six trips, can be described Behind the new service is Clipper shipping company Seatruck Ferries and Fredericia Shipping.
The new ro/ro ferry service between Fredericia and Moss sailed for the first time on February the 2nd, but now the ferry Moondance is lying still at quay in Frederecia.
"It is very unfortunate, as half a year of work has gone into the establishment of the new service. When there was a lack of trucks, it made good sense to ship the containers to Norway by ferry instead, and the environment could be spared the traffic and CO2 outlet, but when there is less work to be done, the haulage contractors prefer to drive the cargo to the destinations instead", says CEO Klaus G. Andersen. Fredericia Shipping to Daily Boersen.
