STCW - Advanced Fire Fighting (afholdes løbende)
At the end of the course the participant shall be able to use the principles for on-site management of available resources of personnel and material and shall be able to plan and exercise fire drills onboard a vessel.
About the course
Target group:
Mariners who shall function as fire leader on vessels.
Prerequisites:
§ 3. For participation in courses and refresher courses in fire management on ships, the student must be in possession of:
- a valid health certificate for seafarers and fishermen and
- a maritime certificate as a ship's officer, navigator, ship's engineer, or chief engineer.
- Subsection 2. Seafarers who are in training to become a ship's officer, navigator, ship's engineer, or chief engineer can be admitted to the course.
Objective:
To give the participants the sufficient skills and knowledge to provide on-site management in connection with firefighting onboard vessels.
At the end of the course the participant shall be able to use the principles for on-site management of available resources of personnel and material and shall be able to plan and exercise fire drills onboard a vessel.
After completion of the course, the delegate must meet the qualification requirements in accordance with the STCW Code Table A-VI/3
