Crew Manager
Do you want to be part of a growing industry in a global environment? We are looking for a new Crew Manager to set sail on a voyage with a life-changing carrier. Rohde Nielsen operates globally, and from our main office in Copenhagen, the crewing team supports the vessel and seafarers worldwide.
About the position:
As a Crew Manager, you will take charge of managing vessels and units, working closely with a dedicated team to ensure smooth operations. Your responsibilities will cover all aspects of crew management, including recruitment, crew development, certification, and planning administration, all while ensuring compliance with STCW and MLC regulations. A key part of the role is the ability to collaborate effectively as a team player, maintaining strong communication with stakeholders, seafarers, and colleagues. Your ability to stay organized, keep an overview of complex tasks, and adapt to the needs of the department will be essential to your success. You will also organize global crew changes, working closely with the project department, manning office, and local agents. This includes managing visa and work permit applications, navigating local restrictions, and addressing special requirements. As a Crew Manager you will report to the Head of Crewing.
Professional competencies:
- Relevant education
- Experience within the maritime industry, preferably in crew management or from a seagoing role.
- Knowledge of relevant maritime legislation and industry standards.
- Proficiency in using crew management systems or similar software.
- Strong general IT knowledge and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
- Fluent in Danish and English
