Operations Manager – Dry Cargo – Pangaea Logistics Solutions Denmark A/S

On behalf of Pangaea Logistics Solutions Denmark A/S, MARPRO Group is looking for an Operations Manager – Dry Cargo for their office in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The Company

Pangaea Logistics Solutions is a global provider of maritime logistics and transportation solutions, meeting the logistics needs of its clients through a comprehensive range of services. The company operates offices in the USA, Copenhagen, Singapore, and Athens and currently manages a fleet of approximately 85 dry bulk vessels, including 41 owned ships ranging from handy-size to post-panamax vessels.

Additionally, Pangaea Logistics Solutions operates multiple terminals in the US leading to involvement in its clients’ operations both onshore and offshore.

The Role

The ideal candidate is an experienced operator who is already confident in an international setting and takes pride in ensuring seamless operations from A to Z. You should thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and enjoy the ever-changing challenges driven by global events.

Your main responsibilities include

• Overseeing and managing the daily operations of owned and time-chartered vessels.
• Planning routes and schedules to optimize fuel efficiency and minimize delays.
• Coordinating with ports, agents, and cargo handlers to ensure smooth operations.
• Handling all types of cargo documentation, including B/Ls and LOIs.
• Addressing and resolving unforeseen challenges promptly and professionally.
• Contributing to maintaining Pangaea’s best-in-class status.

Professional competencies required to succeed in this role

• Minimum two years of Dry Bulk operation experience. 
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Fluent in English – both written and spoken.
• Danish residency/work permit is required.
