Hydrographic Surveyor

On behalf of Rohde Nielsen, MARPRO Group is looking for a Hydrographic Surveyor for the office in Copenhagen.

The job

The job as a Hydrographic Surveyor is a part of the Survey department and you will report directly to the Head of Survey. You will be responsible for conduction bathymetric and multibeam surveys, as well as assisting in marine constructions operations worldwide in close cooperation with the project department. You will work closely with the Head of Survey along with the other surveyors to ensure accurate data collection, equipment mobilization and calibration. Flexibility in working abroad for varying durations and in challenging weather conditions is essential for this role.

Additional responsibilities:

• Executing all kinds of survey operations in line with internal procedures and external/client specifications.
• Processing of hydrographic survey data, charting and report writing
• Maintenance of measuring equipment

Professional qualifications

• Advantage if you hold a surveying degree in Ocean Technology, Oceanography, Hydrography, or something similar, or equivalent through experience.
• Experience with marine constructions operations preferably large scale.
• Advantage if you have experience with bathymetric/multibeam surveying activities.
• Advantage if you have knowledge of Teledyne PDS and AutoCAD software.

• Flexible and hardworking attitude
• In possession of a valid driver’s license (B) and additional it would be an advantage to have power boat license and a trailer license.
• Are fluent in written and spoken English.
• EU working permit required.
• Willing to travel extensively
