Global Project Engineer – Electrical and Automation - Frese A/S

On behalf of Frese A/S, MARPRO Group is looking for a Global Project Engineer – Electrical and Automation for the office in Slagelse. You will join the Marine & Industry department which is committed to innovating energy-saving solutions for the global maritime industry. You will report to the Head of Project Engineering, Marine & Industry of the company.

Frese provides customized fuel saving technologies for marine cooling water systems.. Their integrated solutions with dynamic valves, sensors and variable frequency drives complete with touch-screen panels and smart automation are well-proven. They help reduce carbon emissions and improve fuel efficiency with accurate temperature and flow control. The job

As the new Global Project Engineer – Electrical and Automation, you will be the technical expert on the development and optimization of new automation solutions together with our in-house R&D department and sub suppliers. You will conduct on-site surveys and commissioning, working closely with clients and crews onboard to ensure seamless project delivery. You will collaborate closely with experienced marine colleagues to address the challenges faced by owners, operators and builders of the vessels. You will together with the team build strong client relationships and ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality solutions and support. You will also collaborate with the sales and engineering team members to create business cases for clients who are global shipowner companies, designers and shipyards.

Additional responsibilities 

• Conduct in-depth analyses and calculations of energy-saving solutions using Frese’s FUELSAVE™ for marine applications.
• Preparing offers and technical installations onboard.
• Provide technical expertise during the installation phase, troubleshooting and resolving of technical challenges.

Professional qualifications

• Education as Electrical Engineer, Marine Engineer or other relevant educational background.
• Advantage if you have experience with automation.
• Advantage if you have a few years of maritime experience.
• Advantage if you have experience with service and commissioning skills in delivery of systems, particular in marine or energy saving applications.
• Advantage if you have knowledge of fluid thermodynamics, heating and cooling water systems as well as electrical and automation technology.
