New anti-piracy campaign launched
SHIPPING: The international shipowner associations urge governments around the world to show political courage to effectively combat the growing challenges of piracy by the coast of Somali and the Indian Ocean.
Many countries, including Denmark, have already made a large and important effort with the deployment of naval vessels, etc. Despite this, it is sadly noted that the problem is growing in recent years and therefore there is a need to take international action.
The Round Table of international shipping associations, which consists of BIMCO, ICS / ISF, Intercargo and INTERTANKO has jointly launched a new website SOS Save Our Seafarers campaign, where you can give your support to the call to the international community to strengthen efforts. The website will also contain current information on piracy situation and an SOS TV page with movie clips and pictures.
