Kina gentager kritik af havnesalg i Panama

The Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office, der er det kinesiske kommunistpartis forlængede arm, har gentaget kritik tidligere offentliggjort i partiorganet Ta Kung Pao, der kritiserer CK Hutchison Holdings beslutning om at sælge sine udenlandske havne, herunder to terminaler i Panama, fra.

“Fremragende entreprenører tænker ikke kun på profit, men er sande og stolte patrioter”, hedder det i en erklæring, der slet skjult kritiserer CK Hutchison Holding for at modarbejde kinesiske interesser, ved at sælge de udenlandske havne, herunder terminalerne ved Panamakanalen, til et investorkonsortium under ledelse af det amerikanske investeringsselskab BlackRock, for 19 milliarder dollar.

Salget kommer efter hård kritik fra præsident Donald Trump, der har brugt det kinesiske ejerskab af terminalerne til underbygning af en påstand om, at Panamakanalen i dag er under kinesiske kontrol - hvilket ikke er sandt.

Ud over de to termainaler i Panama, omfatter handlen 41 terminaler i 22 lande.
