New Mols-Linien ferry creates 70 jobs
Mols-Linien’s investment in another catamaran ferry, KatEXpress 2, provides new jobs in Jutland, Denmark. This week the company will start searching for about 70 employees, including a number of seamen to man the new fast ferry, which will be inserted in the course of May
"The Company's need for additional manpower is a direct consequence of the fast ferries sailing in hourly services between Zealand and Jutland a good part of the day, with the insertion of KatExpress 2. This is a significant increase in the number of departures, and we therefore need many new employees", says CEO Søren Jespersen.
The new positions that are open for recruitment include engineers, technicians, chief mate, ship assistants and a larger number of employees in catering.
The new ferry is currently being built at a shipyard in Australia. The ferry can take up to 1,000 passengers and 417 cars, and can, as her sister ship KatExpress 1, load caravans, trucks and up to 6 buses on a single crossing.
